Priapus Church, also known as the Temple of Priapus, is a North American new religious movement founded in the late 1970s and early 1980s, centered primarily around the worship of the phallus. Then members greet one another by grabbing each other’s cocks and balls and then exchanging kisses. Most of our members here are former Catholics, so that makes for different reference points.” The group’s namesake, Priapus himself, was a Greek god of fertility, son of Dionysus and Aphrodite, who “personified male procreative power,” according to the Temple’s web site.

From the 2018 perspective—and in light of the #metoo movement—worshipping dicks might seem somewhat antiquated.

This movement highlights the intersection of religion and sexuality, challenging conventional norms and advocating for a broader acceptance of diverse sexual expressions as sacred and meaningful.

Truth is highly subjective, as we live in a very diverse world. It is illogical to assume that worship of the Penis is the only route to enlightenment.

There is more reading and a sermon. Being as diverse as we are even among the members of the Brotherhood, we don’t need to agree on all things related to our spiritual practice, but we do need a unified front on what we tell the body of our believers, and the information we make public to those who want to know more about the Brotherhood and our Faith.

Who or what is GOD? (Again, think broadly from all faith traditions.)

God is bigger than any living thing, or any concept or idea.

But when Francis Cassidy visited the city in 1979, the young gay Montrealer discovered a group of gay men who not only appreciated penises, they actually gathered regularly to worship them.

Semen is revered as a holy substance, embodying spiritual potency and is treated with great respect within the context of their rituals​​​​.

Membership in the church is notably diverse, although it primarily attracts gay and bisexual men. However, and this is very important: As we are all carriers of the living GOD, our physical appearance is not a classification of good and bad; meaning that GOD comes in all sizes, ages, colors, and creeds — it is COCK being glorified, not the man.
