Gay phallic worship

All in the cozy basement of a home in the rather whitebread Montreal suburb of NDG.

The Temple’s penis-themed prayer includes the following words of worship: “I believe in You, beautiful Phallus, in your strength and your power, in your ability to bring ecstasy, when being sucked, licked, suckled or masturbated, all together. “We are about connecting our spiritual selves, our meaning as people, to our phalluses.”

While religious freedom is established in our constitution, it’s hard not to think this all sounds suspiciously like an excuse for an orgy.

You offer me stiffness, beauty, the energy and your immaculate cum.” The church also rejects all member prejudice, their basic belief being that all cocks are equal: “I believe in the equality of all cocks… black or white… large or small, without discrimination.” The prayer also expresses a belief in “masturbating with fervor and piety.

Priapus Church

A church centered around the worship of the penis

Founder: Reverend D. F. Cassidy
Founded: 1970s
Location: United States (originally Vancouver, Canada)
Other Names: Church of the Holy Phallus

The St.

Priapus Church, also known as the Temple of Priapus, is a North American new religious movement founded in the late 1970s and early 1980s, centered primarily around the worship of the phallus. Then members greet one another by grabbing each other’s cocks and balls and then exchanging kisses. Most of our members here are former Catholics, so that makes for different reference points.” The group’s namesake, Priapus himself, was a Greek god of fertility, son of Dionysus and Aphrodite, who “personified male procreative power,” according to the Temple’s web site.

From the 2018 perspective—and in light of the #metoo movement—worshipping dicks might seem somewhat antiquated.

This movement highlights the intersection of religion and sexuality, challenging conventional norms and advocating for a broader acceptance of diverse sexual expressions as sacred and meaningful.

Truth is highly subjective, as we live in a very diverse world. It is illogical to assume that worship of the Penis is the only route to enlightenment.

There is more reading and a sermon. Being as diverse as we are even among the members of the Brotherhood, we don’t need to agree on all things related to our spiritual practice, but we do need a unified front on what we tell the body of our believers, and the information we make public to those who want to know more about the Brotherhood and our Faith.

Who or what is GOD? (Again, think broadly from all faith traditions.)

God is bigger than any living thing, or any concept or idea.

“They were doing important community outreach, like helping homeless gay youth,” he told VICE. There are candle holders, statues and cups, and of course photos and paintings of cocks. But he also stresses that “this really has to be spiritual, not just sexual. Named after Priapus, the Greek god of fertility known for his oversized, permanent erection, the church regards the phallus as a symbol of life, beauty, joy, and pleasure.

“To us, the cock is a path to truth and divine happiness. When our hearts and minds are on COCK, he will lead us to happiness regardless of the man with whom he is embodied. The ceremony culminates with a “carnal communion,” wherein “members give of their cum.”

In order to join, one has to go through a screening process (this isn’t just a society for cocksucking riffraff).

The organization regards the male genitals as a symbol of divine power and a source of life, pleasure, and beauty. “It’s important for us that members feel safe, and that people are joining for spiritual reasons, not just sexual ones,” says Cassidy. The city is, after all, a famous queer enclave.

But when Francis Cassidy visited the city in 1979, the young gay Montrealer discovered a group of gay men who not only appreciated penises, they actually gathered regularly to worship them.

Semen is revered as a holy substance, embodying spiritual potency and is treated with great respect within the context of their rituals.

Membership in the church is notably diverse, although it primarily attracts gay and bisexual men. However, and this is very important: As we are all carriers of the living GOD, our physical appearance is not a classification of good and bad; meaning that GOD comes in all sizes, ages, colors, and creeds — it is COCK being glorified, not the man.

It might not be entirely shocking that a gay man would learn of his love of dick while on a trip to San Francisco. There are wide variations in current phallic worship: from Satanic, Pagan, Pre-Christian, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, and others.

The worship of sexuality has predated all known written records and has evidence throughout the globe that precedes written history.

We are one united Phallic Brotherhood with the same belief that COCK is a physical manifestation of the living GOD. We all agree that there are three basic practices — masturbation, oral sex, and sodomy — taken singularly or in combinations.
